Members of two different DEBRAs were recipients of the Patient Leader Awards, which honor the leadership of GlobalSkin members at local, regional, and global levels.
The awards highlighted efforts in Innovating, Collaborating, Championing, and Elevating the patient voice. The Champion Award was awarded to Ritu Jain (DEBRA International & Singapore) and Antoine Gliksohn (Global Albinism Alliance & Genespoir) and for their exceptional patient advocacy efforts.
The ELEVATE Creative Award (along with a cash prize of 750 CAD): Toni Roberts (DEBRA South Africa) whose submission received the highest number of votes for its creativity, and beautifully captured the essence of "ELEVATE" and its significance in the work she does with/for her patient organization.
