At the start of October, on the 4th and 5th, the fifth DEBRA Brazil Congress was held in São Paulo. The event brought together speakers and researchers from Chile, Egypt, the United States, the UK, and Brazil.
One day focused on clinical practices and the other on research, highlighting the latest advances and treatment guidelines for EB. The congress also fostered community engagement, connecting people and young individuals with EB.
We shared insights on the DIYC initiative, which was met with great enthusiasm by DEBRA Brazil President Leandro Rossi. He was particularly excited to welcome Toni Roberts, president of DIYC, who was hosted by Rodrigo Sousa, a DIYC leader and director of DEBRA Brazil. The congress not only provided valuable knowledge but also strengthened social mobilization and solidarity among participants, families, researchers, and companies, all united for the cause of EB.
