MEET THE TEAM

Ruthie has a background as a nurse and a wound specialist. Living in Gothenburg, Sweden, she has been on the board of DEBRA Sweden since 2018 and currently holds the role of Vice President. Ever since her first DEBRA International meeting, about 17 years ago, she has felt a strong dedication towards the organization and the people involved. For the past 20 years she has worked with various wound companies that offer dressings suitable for EB. EB as a diagnosis, and the patients suffering from EB, became one of her focus areas at a very early stage. She has been actively educating her distributors around the world about EB and has also taken the opportunity to visit and support local DEBRA organizations. Recently she reduced her workload, and only consults part time, so she can now dedicate more time for voluntary work.

Favorite activities on her free time include cooking, mushroom foraging, gardening, fishing, reading, and spending time with her grandkids. (Not necessarily in that order).
