DebRA International is an umbrella group whose members are the national associations representing people with epidermolysis bullosa (EB) in their
countries.

Queen Nor

All member groups are autonomous, choosing to work together on matters of common interest.  Europe, North America and Australasia are well represented amongst the member groups and there is a growing membership in Central and South America, Asia and, to a lesser extent, Africa.

DebRA International has no staff of its own and all of its resources come from the member groups who contribute whatever time and facilities that they can. DebRA International is managed by DebRA UK, which provides office accommodation and other assistance.

DebRA International grew out of DebRA Europe, which was the first regional grouping within the organisation. DebRA International is currently consulting with member groups concerning the future structure of the organisation and whether further, regionally based sub-groups should be established. DEBRA Latin America, the only other regional grouping, was established in October 2005.

An annual meeting is held involving all member groups to determine policy and priority and the delegates from the member groups, acting collectively, form the governing body. DebRA Europe participates in DebRA International activities and, in addition, organises its own events. DebRA Europe is managed by DebRA UK, whose director is also the director of the European organisation. The direction of DebRA Europe is determined by an Executive Committee whose current membership is:
